Spring is upon us!

But before we delve fully into florals and pastel colors only, let’s talk about a fail-safe outfit template that I’ve stumbled upon recently: comfy trousers with a sporty flare topped with a nude trench vest that’s warm and versatile for the Spring weather.

For all of you ladies out there that rock pencil skirts in the office, you have my respect. I have tried and tried, I just couldn’t tolerate how uncomfortable pencil skirts are. So for me comfy trousers are my go-to type of pants. This Tobi piece nailed it with how comfortable they are, and the stripe on the side makes it look just that much more styled and slightly more casual too. That’s why I have to couple it with something that has little more polished edge to it. Hence the trench coat…

We are in the middle of the summer. And in Southern California, we’re FEELING the heat!

One of the outfits that’s been on repeat for me is this hybrid piece of culottes and jumpsuit. It’s quite simple, really – the airy pants and low cut stop are both essential in keeping me cool! Tobi really nailed it on this look with the Anisha Midi Jumpsuit.

I would be wearing this piece all the way into fall, I already know! Possibly pairing it with a tank top (also high neck) on the inside to add a bit of coverage. Can’t wait!

I love to people watch at airports. What I love even more is spotting people who manage to stay stylish, calm, and composed while navigating through the chaos of security checks and luggage management. Watching them is fun and it brings me peace and joy in a weird way.

In years of airport people watching/stalking, I started to notice a trend among the “airport graceful”. The key is to have minimal carry-on luggage and wear outfits that are conducive to traveling. 

From there, I’ve developed my formula.  Here goes: A comfy dress, sporty sneakers, one personal item, and a easy-to-wheel-around carry-on suitcase. 

To combat the unpredictable airplane temperature, I usually bring a jacket/cardigan of some sort to help my stay warm. In this case, the jacket even serves as a cinching tool to give me some curves in this dress that otherwise has a bit of a tomboy-ish silhouette.
